Arizona Passes Bill that Makes Presidential Hopefuls Prove Citizenship

The Arizona state legislature approved a bill Thursday night that would make presidential candidates have to prove they are U.S. citizens before their names could appear on a state ballot.

The so-called "birther bill" got final approval by a vote of 40 to 16 in the state House, according to the website for the Arizona State Legislature.
