Obama's Re-Election: 5 reasons he's 'Unbeatable'

1. The Republican Party is divided

2. Independents are still up for grabs

3. He will have serious money behind him

4. The polls aren't that bad

5. The demographics favor Obama

The odds of a second term for the president are good, argue some commentators, despite his diminished poll ratings and a disillusioned base.

Surprising no one, President Obama announced on Monday that he intends to seek a second term. But the playing field he faces is rockier than it was in 2008.

As a sitting president, he can no longer enchant voters with the promise of "hope and change," and he'll have to overcome several serious obstacles. Still, some commentators think it's a near certainty that Obama will stay in the White House through 2016.
